The Franchising Expo has wrapped up its Sydney event, with record attendance and strong engagement across two busy days at ICC Sydney in May.
Co-located with the Start Your Own Business Expo, the event attracted aspiring business owners, investors, franchisees and entrepreneurs from across New South Wales and beyond, all eager to explore new opportunities and take control of their future.
Visitors spent the weekend meeting directly with franchise brands, comparing business models and gaining practical advice from industry experts. From food and beverage franchises through to education, logistics, home services, professional services and retail, the Expo showcased the breadth of opportunities available to Australians looking to work for themselves.
"Sydney was a fantastic show with record attendance and highly engaged visitors. The quality of conversations across the show floor was exceptional. Visitors came ready to ask questions, compare opportunities and take meaningful steps towards business ownership." says Rebecca Horsburgh, Sales Manager.
The free seminar program proved a major drawcard, with audiences filling sessions covering franchise ownership, finance, legal considerations, marketing, AI, business planning and growth strategies. Popular features such as Conversations with Franchisees provided attendees with valuable first-hand insights from people already operating successful franchise businesses.
The strong Sydney result reflects a continuing trend across Australia, with more people seeking greater flexibility, independence and long-term growth through business ownership.
Now attention turns to Melbourne, where the Franchising Expo and Start Your Own Business Expo will take place on 1–2 August 2026 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
The Melbourne event will bring together a diverse range of franchise opportunities, including brands across food, retail, education, fitness, home services, logistics and professional services. Visitors will have the opportunity to compare business models side-by-side, speak directly with franchisors and gain expert advice before making important investment decisions.
