Poolwerx has marked a major milestone with the opening of its 150th Australian store in Cannon Hill, Brisbane, highlighting more than 30 years of growth for the Brisbane-founded franchise brand.
The 150th store was opened at a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Poolwerx ANZ Chief Operating Officer Steve Halls and Poolwerx Franchise Partner and Store Owner Richard Kelly. Kelly, who has expanded his Brisbane portfolio to five stores since joining the network in 2021, has played a key role in the growth of the brand locally.
Commenting on his fifth store opening, Kelly said, “This milestone reflects the collective spirit of innovation and collaboration across the entire Poolwerx network.”
Founded in 1992 by Brisbane entrepreneur John O’Brien, Poolwerx has grown from a single mobile pool service into a global franchise brand operating across Australia, New Zealand, and the United States. The network is approaching 200 stores globally and continues to invest in technology, training, and operational support to drive franchise performance.
